Our diverse operation spans over 4 million acres, carries 260,000 head of cattle and has the capacity to process up to 300,000 head every year.

Job Description: 

Based at Brindley Park Feedlot near Roma and reporting to the General Manager – Livestock, you’ll work closely with ACC buyers & commission buyers to deliver the required livestock numbers to our feedlots, to required customer specifications and demand on a weekly basis.  Focusing on the Qld region for supply, your role will be responsible for: 

  • Purchasing cattle for Brindley Park Feedlot

  • Ensuring cattle scheduling is within ordered weekly volumes for multiple cattle classes

  • Ensuring cattle class specifications are communicated to vendors for delivery

  • Managing and coordinating logistics for cattle movements between feedlots, vendors & saleyards 

  • Providing accurate & timely reporting for vendor payments and induction feedback

  • Purchasing background cattle for restocking ACC Properties

  • Building and developing trusted, long term relationships with suppliers to support future supply

  • Identifying profitable external sales destinations for ACC feedlot & property cattle 

With an eye for detail and extensive livestock knowledge gained from experience within the cattle and beef production industry, the successful candidate will bring: 

  • At least 5 years experience success within livestock buying/trading/agency roles

  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills required to build and maintain key industry relationships

  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills

  • Self-driven with high degree of initiative

  • Highly accurate numerical skills for data capture and reporting

  • Strong computer literacy
