MHPF is a private landholder of Australian agricultural assets. We operate 17 properties over 70,000 hectares in Eastern Australia, strategically located over several climatic regions. The portfolio is comprised of:

JOB TYPE: Full time (This is a long-term position)

START DATE: Immediately

JOB DESCRIPTION: The aim of this role is to work closely with the Farm Manager, focusing on livestock management and husbandry - you will be managing 12,000 ewes and 800 breeding cattle - as well as assisting where possible with the implementation of the overall Farm Plan. 


  • Demonstrated experience preferred

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Flexible, reliable and adaptable

  • Must own working dogs.

  • Current & valid driver's licence


Land Management: Assist Farm Managers with the implementation of the Land Management Program, focusing on key areas:

  • Pasture assessment

  • Weed Control

  • Pasture Improvement

  • Management and maintenance of Fixed Assets

  • Noxious Animals

Livestock Management: Assist Farm Managers with the implementation of the Livestock Management Program, focusing on key areas:

  • Stock Movements

  • Animal Husbandry, Health & Welfare

  • Monitoring livestock, reporting any changes in condition to Managers

  • Supplementary feeding

Cropping Management

  • Assist Farm Managers where needed with the implementation of the Cropping Plan

Maintenance & Servicing

  • Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of vehicles and machinery as needed.

Record Keeping

  • Ensure timely and accurate record keeping of farm activities (largely through the use of Agriwebb)


  • Demonstrate a safety conscious culture and work environment   

  • Ensure compliance with MHPF’s WHS Induction/Handbook/SOPs    

  • Report hazards, incidents or anything deemed to be unsafe to Managers immediately
