Waterloo Station is seeking a Machine Operator role for the 2021 season. The role would include grader and dozer operation, as well as road train driving and basic machinery maintenance and servicing.

The station is located on the Duncan Highway NT, 150km from the East Kimberley major tourist destination, Kununurra. Enjoy the surrounding Kimberley tourist destinations on your days off and get involved in the rodeos and campdrafts in the area throughout the year.

Waterloo Station encompasses 1895 sq. km in the Victoria River District which runs up to 25,000 head. 

Remuneration & Experience: ​Previous experience and expertise in the Northern Pastoral Industry will be highly regarded, remuneration will be based upon experience.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Grading & bulldozing works including - i.e. Road work, dam sinking, dam cleaning, pushing gravel, site preparation, clearing and other infrastructure projects.

  • Basic vehicle servicing and maintenance

  • Road Train operation

  • General 'Handy Man' duties around the station when required including welding works

  • Must be able to work autonomously or well within a team. 


  • Grader and Bulldozer experience essential.

  • HR, HC or MC licence preferred (Road Train work when not engaged with earth moving works).

  • Previous welding experience desirable

  • Current drivers licence

  • Neat and tidy, taking pride in their work and care of machinery

  • Be able to converse with other team member and take instruction well.​​

  • No pets


  • Remuneration reflective of experience

  • Single Accommodation with air conditioning provided

  • All meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner
