Legune Station



Legune Station is located 120km North east of Kununurra on 306,000 hectares of private land in the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf, bordering Western Australia and the picturesque Kimberley region. The Station runs 35,000 head of high-grade Brahman cattle and produces 4,000 Tonne per annum of quality hay with approximately 20 staff located at the station. The region boasts some of the best fishing in Australia and provides easy access to top attractions such as Lake Argyle, the Bungle Bungles and El Questro just to name a few!


About the role: Reporting to the Station Manager, the Station Mechanic is responsible for carrying out repairs, and servicing and maintaining all plant and equipment on the station. The mechanic must also maintain the station workshop and all tools and equipment, and keep accurate service records.


About you:

  • Must hold a Diesel Mechanic trade qualification or similar.

  • Previous experience in a similar role an advantage.

  • Experience working on a remote cattle station environment preferred.

  • Must hold a current Open Driver’s License and HR licence preferred.

  • Auto electrical and / or automotive air conditioner experience desirable.

  • Steel Fabrication & Welding experience desirable.
