STATION HANDS

Pardoo Beef are requiring station hands to work on two of their properties near Fitzroy Crossing and Derby in the West Kimberley. Five Station Hand positions are on 700,000 acre station near the Fitzroy River and two Station Hands are required on the property just out of Derby. You will get to work on both during the mustering season and have the opportunity to work with good people and management with a Western Australian Beef Company, which also has property in the Pilbara.

Start Date: Be able to start late February/ Early March 2022

 

Duties will include:

• All aspects of yard work, mustering primarily on horses, at times on two wheel bikes.

• General station maintenance including but not limited to fencing, machinery and vehicle maintenance, bore and water infrastructure repairs.

Applicants would desirably have the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience working with cattle - Low stress stock handling knowledge

• Competent confident horse rider and experience on two wheel motor bikes

• Clean, tidy and respectful habits

• A good level of physical fitness and ability to work in a challenging remote environment in the heat

• General farm maintenance skills including basic mechanical skills, welding, fencing  and an attitude to learn and develop new skill sets where required 

• Must have c class license, HR would be highly desirable

STATION COOK

We are seeking an energetic cook with a keen interest in cooking for a hungry team. Previous experience as a station cook is preferred but not essential.

​

Start Date: Start late February 2022/ (Min Season: March to October)

​

Duties will include:

• Required to cook for 8 up to 10 people rotating between two of our stations.

• Modern kitchen facilities and diverse range of produce and meat to cook with!

• Must have previous cooking experience and tidy habits.

• This position also involves some cleaning and basic gardening duties when required.
