WARRAWAGINE CATTLE CO. | PILBARA, WA

Warrawagine Cattle Co is based in the East Pilbara Region of Western Australia. We comprise of two cattle properties, including Centre Pivot Irrigation complexes on Wallal Downs Station based on the West Coast. We run approximately 30,000 head across the two properties and irrigate and cut hay from the centre pivot operations.

We have a large array of modern machinery, plant and facilities. We use motorbikes at all times.  

The successful applicants must have experience, must be self-motivated, be neat and tidy, think for themselves and be a happy and outgoing person.

  • We have a very strict NO Pet Policy. 

  • All Applicants will need to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and have a Police Clearance.

EXPERIENCED OVERSEER:

  • To oversee our cattle backgrounding property.

  • Overseering station staff, allocating daily duties, overseeing station work plans, staff induction and training and manage daily disputes and day-to-day welfare issues.

  • We can offer paid employment for the right partner depending on skills and experience.

  • Suit couple or single

EXPERIENCED MACHINERY OPERATOR:

  • Machinery Operators required to operate Excavator, Loaders, Grader and D7 Dozer

STATION HANDS (Motorbikes Only)

  • Station Hands are required to undertake all facets of Station duties, including but not limited to Mustering, Drafting and Processing cattle, Fencing, Lick Runs and Checking Water.

BOREMAN / HANDYMAN

  • Boreman/ Handyman required for checking Bores and Water Points Daily.

  • Mowing Lawns and Gardening and undertaking any handyman tasks required.

RINGERS (Motorbikes Only)

  • Ringers are required to work in our eight person Stockcamp, undertaking all facets of cattle handling, fencing and station work.

  • We require people who are driven, capable and energetic.

  • You will need to be able to work unsupervised, capable on two-wheel motorbikes and experienced in low stress stock handling.

  • If you are willing to learn, then we are willing to teach you!

COOK/ DOMESTIC

  • Cook/ Domestic required for cooking four meals a day and Domestic Duties for up to ten people

FARM HANDS

  • Farmhands  would be responsible for providing assistance to the Farm Manager by helping in the production of grass for hay and silage across our ten 48-hectare pivots.

  • You will be required to operate and maintain various plant and equipment, tractors, loaders and balers whilst planting, spraying and harvesting.

  • Some gentle cattle handling of the cattle on the stand and graze pivots is required.
