Proudly West Australian, Harvest Road is currently recruiting a permanent Station Cook for one of its cattle stations based within the Ashburton Shire, the heart of the West Pilbara.
This is the perfect opportunity for a self-motivated, experienced cook to join a progressive team responsible for making a significant contribution to WA’s largest vertically integrated beef businesses.
This opportunity will provide the successful applicant with a challenging and diverse role, working in a modern kitchen with good appliances. The Role:

Demonstrate commitment to safe working practises at all times

Pre-planning and cooking nutritious, hearty meals for station staff, and guests where required

Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in kitchen and adjoining areas (store, coolroom, freezers, verandah and rec/dining area)

Preparing store orders for scheduled dates, and rotating stores to ensure no food is wasted

Liaise with the station butcher and gardeners to ensure all available meat cuts are utilised, and garden produce is incorporated into cooking whenever possible.

Encourage a welcoming, homely environment in the kitchen/dining for station staff and guests
The Person:
-
Previous experience cooking to a schedule for a group of people

Excellent time management and organisation skills
-
High level of hygiene and safety standards
-
A self-starter, willing to work independently and able to adapt to change

A positive, friendly attitude with a willingness to be part of the Minderoo team and culture
-
Pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment
-
Possess a suitable fitness level to carry out required tasks

Manual drivers license highly desirable

Current first aid certificate highly desirable
