Tobermorey Station is a 1.5 million acre cattle station on the NT/QLD border.  We are situated 3hr SW of Mount Isa and 3hr W of Boulia in QLD and 6hr east of Alice Springs on the Plenty Highway.  

Remuneration: Remuneration is a competitive day rate based on experience, skills and abilities above Award.

Job Description: The kitchen is the hub of our station and we are looking for a charismatic fun loving person or couple who just love to cook and serve people to join our team. 

  • You need to have a passion for cooking and excellent hygiene/cleaning skills. 

  • We serve 3 meals per day and 1 morning tea to between 10 - 12 station staff, visitors and guests which will increase to 25+ in our busy mustering season. 

  • We would consider 2 people sharing this role (or a couple), as well as someone who is a confident cook and willing to be trained how to cook for larger numbers. 

  • We are a working cattle station and as such our primary protein source is beef which we source on farm so the role is not suited to vegetarian/vegan applicants.

  • Experience in a similar role will be viewed favourably.


  • King single or double ensuite accommodation with a/c is provided.

  • All meals and wifi are included free.

  • Pets considered but must be under control and able to get along with many animals/dogs at the station.

NOTE: Happy for holiday visa applications but prefer those going for 3rd year that can stay for 6 months.
