A permanent position for a Station Couple is available on a cattle station in the Kimberley region of WA. Located near Halls Creek, WA. To be successful for this position you will need to fill the role of the station cook and the other position will be either as a caretaker or a station hand.
The Cook will be responsible for preparing hearty meals for up to 8-12 people. Preparing and cooking meals, menu planning, ordering stores and maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen are required. Other duties will include looking after some animals including chooks and pigs and tending to the vegetable patch. In your own time you are welcome to attend the cattle yards or muster.
As the caretaker you will be involved with a variety of duties around the station including general maintenance, gardening, assisting the cook at times and will have the opportunity to utilise other skills that assimilate with this position.
If you are experienced as a Station Hand your position will be with the stock team and you will be involved with all cattle processing, mustering with motorbikes and helicopters and occasionally horses. All other station hand duties are also required and ability with motor bikes is essential.
