About the Role:
We are currently seeking a driven and energetic Station Hand to join our team at Koojan Downs. The current position involves station maintenance, fencing, machinery operation, cattle work and with the intent for this role to transfer to into the feeding facility when it comes online later in the year.
The roles primary tasks for the short term will be installation of fencing and waters on the property plus general station duties. Duties will evolve as the operation expands.
Key Responsibilities of the role are (but not limited to):
Construction of new steel fencing
Operations of machinery, specifically skid steer & attachments essential
General fabrication including welding
Assisting junior staff and leading by example
This role would suit someone who is hands on, has attention to detail and takes pride in their work. This role will also suit someone who is ambitious and move into a lead role as our operations grow.

Strong focus on safety and animal welfare
Ability to measure accurately, construct straight fences, swing gates
Experience in station maintenance and operating machinery
Manual driver’s license
Motivated, hard-working, willing to be part of the team culture
Pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment
Possess sufficient fitness level to carry out required tasks
Experience with handling livestock
