Buttabone Station comprises of close to 29,000 ha and with its flat expanses of grassy plains, rich black soil, reliable water points and its temperate seasons make it an ideal setting for breeding, raising and finishing the property’s Angus cattle.
The station’s complex network of paddocks allow Buttabone to carefully manage the distribution of its herd, and well-built laneways and new cattle yards allow the staff to quietly and safely work the stock.
As the aggregate of two original pastoral holdings, Buttabone and Buttabone Stud Park, the property also has a significant merino-cross sheep operation, and both dryland and irrigated cropping enterprises.
JOB DESCRIPTION: We know Station Hands are key to the success of any pastoral operation and with recent rains and the property in an excellent position for 2020, we are looking for our next stand out team member.
We are searching for someone with good experience in livestock husbandry (cattle primarily but sheep experience is desired),
understanding of pasture management and some knowledge of cropping will also be an advantage in securing the role.
Most importantly the successful candidate must have a passion for agriculture, a strong work ethic and enjoy a team environment.

The position is a live on station role, with accommodation and utilities provided as well as a competitive remuneration rate on offer, commensurate with experience.
