ABOUT US

CC Cooper Co. is SA based with 6 main properties and other farms across SA, WA and Western NSW. They have a real drive for innovation and excellence and want to attract the right people into long term careers in the industry. One of their properties is Madura Plains Station which covers 1.8 million acres of Nullarbor plain in Western Australia. It is approximately 700km east south east of Kalgoorlie.

Usually running 50,000 merinos on Madura Plains Station there are  15,000 away on company properties as drought conditions dictate stock movements.  CC Cooper & Co have also recently purchased and relocated a Boer goat stud and are establishing a commercial herd.

​

Madura has undergone a massive development program in the last 5 years. They are currently looking for station hands per below job description.

Job Description: Madura Plains have a small but incredibly hard working crew who achieve amazing results. The company is focused on providing the best possible animal welfare and ensuring a respectful work place. As well as the duties listed below, they are hoping to find someone who can specialise in running their drone project which is literally just taking off. As well as finding someone with an interest in stud breeding, including data management to help with the goat stud.

Duties/ Criteria:​

  • Be a confident motor bike rider, preferred experience mustering sheep on a bike

  • Be competent in general station activities including fencing, waters, labour & repairs

  • Have experience and knowledge of handling sheep

  • Animal welfare a priority

  • Be fit, reliable and motivated

  • Have a motor vehicle licence
