Madurah Plains Station | Nullarbor, WA


CC Cooper Co. is SA based with 6 main properties and other farms across SA, WA and Western NSW. They have a real drive for innovation and excellence and want to attract the right people into long term careers in the industry. One of their properties is Madura Plains Station which covers 1.8million acres of Nullarbor plain in Western Australia. It is approximately 700km east south east of Kalgoorlie.

Usually running 50,000 merinos on Madura Plains Station, CC Cooper & Co have also recently purchased and established a Boer goat stud as part of their rebuilding phase due to the drought.

Madura has undergone a massive development program in the last 5 years. They are currently looking for station hands per below job description.

Job Description: Madura Plains have a small but incredibly hard working crew who achieve amazing results. The company is focused on providing the best possible animal welfare and ensuring a respectful work place. As well as finding someone with an interest in stud breeding, including data management to help with the goat stud.

Duties/ Criteria:

  • Motorbike riding skills are preferred but not essential. (Some mustering done by drones), relevant skills can be taught to the right applicant.

  • Be competent in general station activities including fencing, waters, labour & repairs

  • Have experience and knowledge of handling sheep

  • Animal welfare a priority

  • Be fit, reliable and motivated

  • Have a motor vehicle licence


  • Single accommodation and meals provided

  • Work with a committed and professional team

  • We pay above award (depending on experience) with days in lieu for weekends, taken in leave or pay.

This is a permanent position and not available to Working Holiday Visa Holders
