ORIELTON STATION | NW OF LONGREACH, QLD
We are a family-run operation based on “Orielton Station”, 230kms north-west of Longreach and 85kms west of Muttaburra in Central West QLD. Crown Cattle Co consists of three neighbouring properties including Eyriewald, Orielton and Burslem amassing to a total of 205,000 acres.
Crown Cattle Co is a specialist Wagyu producer with an amalgamated 14,000 head capacity in conjunction with a 2,500 head operational feedlot on property.

Job Description: The position that has now become available is for a Working Manager based on Orielton. The property is 96,000 acres of open black soil downs. Orielton is the headquarters and base for Crown Cattle Co where the majority of staff and owners & family reside.
Responsibilities of the successful applicant/s would be to manage daily maintenance on Orielton and assist managers on other properties when required. It is important that we are all flexible to ensure the best management of all three properties however it is necessary to state that the majority and basis of the operation is on Orielton where work requirements will need to be prioritised.
It is noteworthy that the busiest months on the annual calendar are cattle work which take place bi-annually in March-April and August-September. It is expected that these dates are prioritised by all employees accordingly.
The successful applicant/s are required to have machinery operation and livestock skills, an interest and desire to be involved in the rural industry and MUST work as a team member with existing managers & staff while being responsible for the daily management of Orielton.
Property management would entail livestock monitoring & handling, maintenance of water facilities, seasonal feedlot management (on-job training available), fences and machinery.
We are proud of our growing establishment and would require a proud, clean & tidy addition to our team who will ensure the ongoing improvement of the property and its homesteads/buildings/facilities.

Wage will be based on experience and negotiated accordingly.
Accommodation consists of a furnished homestead and established garden.
