TBA is the peak national body for the Australian thoroughbred breeding industry. We are not-for-profit, industry funded.

Thoroughbred Breeders Australia (TBA) advocates the interests of breeders with State and Federal Governments, racing, veterinary and associated bodies throughout Australia. It initiates campaigns both within and outside the industry on the economic, social and cultural importance of the Australian thoroughbred.

TBA takes a leadership role on issues of national and international importance such as quarantine, biosecurity, animal welfare, taxation, immigration and other government and regulatory issues. It represents the interests of breeders in dealing with the Stud Book, Racing Australia and race clubs in addition to other stakeholder organizations.
