Job Description:
We are currently on the look out for a Station Hand to join our friendly and fun team!
Those without experience must be able to demonstrate understanding of the industry, role and expectations.
Wilgena Station is a 5000sqkm sheep station located 400km Northwest of Port Augusta operating a self-replacing merino enterprise, shearing approx. 25,000 sheep.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
As a station hand, you will be required to undertake the following tasks:
Water runs
Mustering
Maintenance of fencing and other infrastructure Machinery maintenance
Animal health and husbandry
Job Requirements:
A motorbike licence is preferred however, at a minimum, you must have proven experience of riding 2 wheeled motorbikes, confidently.
While experience in a similar role would be ideal, more than anything, we need someone who is keen to learn, enjoys working outside (sometimes in extreme conditions) and enjoys team work (but doesn't mind the solitude of alone time too).
Most importantly is a desire to be part of farm community and engage with life and activities with your colleagues who become your family.
