Job Description:

  • Brunette Downs isn’t just another property; it’s at the heart of AACo and a huge part of our history! Situated 350km northeast of the nearest town, Tennant Creek, the property comprises of mostly open downs country and is involved in the breeding and backgrounding of our Mitchell Composite and Wagyu F1 cattle.

  • The main purpose of this role is to maintain the cleanliness of the station’s living quarters and office areas, and further ensuring shared areas are always kept in an acceptable state. This role may also be required to assist with other station duties as required such as cooking and garden maintenance.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To maintain and clean station quarters, temporary accommodation for guests and amenities for on a regular basis or as needed to a clean hygienic standard.

  • Maintain and clean office and common areas on a regular basis.

  • Maintaining the grounds around the homestead to a standard agreed with the Station Manager or designate (if applicable) and other duties as required

  • Clean air conditioners on a regular basis and engage with management to arrange servicing as required.

  • Assist the Cook with organising stores and other kitchen preparation tasks as required.

  • Prepare and supply nutritious meals for station employees and guests’ in the absence of the Cook.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work both alone and as part of a team.

  • Organisation skills to organise a daily/weekly work schedule

  • Efficiency - ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

  • Flexibility - able to meet changing requirements
