Job Description:

  • We are seeking a reliable Caretaker Couple who will be based at Scott Creek Station. 

  • The roles will report to the Station Manager and Administration/Hospitality Coordinator and will assist with carrying out day to day station activities. 

  • Scott Creek Station is one of three properties which form the Katherine Aggregation. Some travel between the three station properties will be required for these roles.


Scott Creek Station is located 80KMs from Katherine, NT and is a part of the Katherine Aggregation. The aggregation also includes Manbulloo and Sturt Downs Stations. It is close to many natural attractions such as Katherine Gorge, Katherine Hot Springs & Edith Falls, to name a few.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

Some key tasks you will be involved in will be:

  • Carrying out all day-to-day station activities in a safe and efficient manner and following all site safety rules and strict animal welfare standards.

  • Maintaining water points and fence lines, and cattle handling as required.

  • Operation of station plant & equipment, including tractor and grader.

  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of station buildings.

  • Gardening across the three properties, including mowing (ride on), spraying, pruning, whipper snipping and maintaining garden beds.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role and farm or station environment.

  • Previous cattle handling experience and understanding of animal welfare practices.

  • Must hold a current car licence.

  • Experience working with mono & solo bores.

  • Experience using farm equipment.

  • Experience maintaining gardens.

  • First aid certificate highly regarded.
