Job Description:

  • We currently have a Machinery Operator, mainly grader work, position at Limbunya Station. 

  • Situated approximately 650km south west of Katherine, just 100km from the Western Australian border. The station has 521,883 hectares and a herd of 32,210 head of cattle.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Station Manager, the Machinery Operator will be responsible for operating heavy machinery on the station to repair and maintain station roads, fence lines, fire breaks and carry out other earthworks as required.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Carry out grading of station roads to provide safe roads for vehicles.

  • Clearing and grading of fence lines and establish and maintain fire breaks.

  • Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance on machinery.

  • Operate all machinery and equipment in accordance with workplace health and safety policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in maintaining and operating heavy machinery.

  • Must hold a current manual open driver's licence.

  • Current licences for grader, excavator, loader and dozer preferred, or equivalent experience.

  • Ability to work alone and unsupervised.
