Job Description:

We are currently hiring a Feeding General Hand at Grassdale, which employs 110 team members and is licensed for 70,000 SCUs, making it the largest feedlot in Australia.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

Our feeding team is based on site to ensure all mixed rations are nutritionally balanced to ensure optimal dietary requirements are met and are dispersed throughout our feedlot in a timely manner.

This key role will be responsible for:

  • Developing all mixed rations on site and ensure all rations are nutritionally balanced to ensure optimal dietary requirements are met.

  • Ensuring our feed rations are dispersed throughout our feedlot in a timely manner.

  • Daily feeding tasks are executed in a timely and efficient manner to meet daily production and quality targets.

  • Feed batching, milling operations, vehicle and loader operations in a feedlot / feed mill setting.

Job Requirements:

  • You are focused on working safely.

  • You demonstrate experience in feed production, milling position or feed batching (or similar).

  • You’re mechanically minded with the ability to problem solve on the fly.

  • Ideally, you have experience with modern feeding machinery, equipment, loaders, trucks and other heavy equipment.

  • On the job training will be provided to successful applicants with a can-do will-do attitude
