Job Description:
We are currently hiring a Machinery Operator at Grassdale, which employs 110 team members and is licensed for 70,000 SCUs, making it the largest feedlot in Australia.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
To operate a variety of machinery either with RTO license or under the Mort & Co Verification of Competency Program. To ensure operations are completed safely and in compliance with all regulatory requirements, including company policies and procedures.
This key role will be responsible for:
Carrying out machinery operations including routine maintenance pre-starts per OEM procedures
Ensuring that the health and welfare of livestock is given first priority
Ensuring machinery is kept in clean and safe working order
Carrying out duties in a manner that prioritises own health and safety and that of others
Maintaining positive and regular communicating with direct supervisor including relevant information regarding Faults with Machinery.
Job Requirements:
Heavy equipment operations experience is mandatory/desirable.
You are focused on working safely
You are physically fit
Good organisation and communication skills including ability to use own initiative
On the job training will be provided to successful applicants with a can-do will-do attitude
