Job Description:

  • We have two full time positions, Senior Farm Hand & Farm Hand available within Margaret River Wagyu Beef at Boathaugh Farm, located near Margaret River. 

  • This is an excellent opportunity to work within a close-knit team of other staff dedicated to producing high quality beef in beautiful southwest WA.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be involved in many facets of Boathaugh Farm including:

  • Experience in irrigation and backgrounding preferred.

  • Cattle husbandry including feeding, monitoring of breeder calving

  • Mustering of cattle using horses

  • Cattle work and yard work

  • Operation of farm machinery including light vehicles, tractors, and telehandler

  • Maintenance of and basic servicing of farm plant and equipment

  • Fencing and water trough maintenance

  • General farm duties and maintenance

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in cattle handling and animal husbandry is mandatory.

  • Experience in irrigation and backgrounding preferred.

  • Experience in cattle husbandry including feeding, monitoring of breeder calving

  • You will require superior horse-riding skills in difficult terrain - along with your own horse.

  • Experience in cattle work and yard work

  • Experience in the operation of farm machinery including light vehicles, tractors, and telehandler

  • Fencing experience preferred

  • Adhere to compliance with safety requirements
