Bindaree Beef Group's Myola Feedlot is a modern 20,000 SCU (Standard Cattle Unit) capacity feedlot situated in the heart of the “Golden Triangle” in northwest NSW and is 70km from Goondiwindi, 60km from Moree and 50km from Warialda. Our team are looking for people who have an open-minded attitude, seek continuous improvement and promote our culture built on integrity, trust and honesty:

PEN RIDERS | Do you have previous cattle handling experience and are a knowledgeable, skilled horse person? These roles are essential to everyday cattle movements, treatment and care including administering and maintaining animal health treatments and relevant records. 

  • Single staff accommodation is available on site and our Livestock Team work a 10/4 roster.

  • We offer paddocks and stabling for horses plus hay supply and farrier services.

  • A minimum 2 horses is required for this position with suitable tack.

  • Above award remuneration for suitable applicants is available, negotiated on relevant skills and experience. 

MILL HAND (FEED TRUCK DRIVER) | We are looking for someone who is able to be accurate and consistent, have an attention to detail and communicates confidently to ensure cattle are fed correct rations.

  • Prior experience operating machinery or trucks is desirable but not essential.

  • Also support our feeding team with hay distribution, sampling and processing rations according to QA requirement, performing routine maintenance and operating the water truck as required.

  • Single staff accommodation is available on site and our Mill Team work a 10/4 roster.

ANIMAL HEALTH SUPERVISOR |  You will be responsible for managing a team of pen riders and reporting to the Livestock Manager.

  • This person will be able to lead the team positively, take initiative and have a commitment to safety and quality outcomes.

  • Our team is looking for someone who has an open-minded attitude, seeks continuous improvement and promotes our culture built on integrity, trust and honesty.

  • Ideally the successful candidate is qualified and has 3 + years in a similar role within the intensive livestock industry.

  • Staff accommodation is available on site and this position will work a 5/2 roster.

  • Above award remuneration for suitable applicants is available, negotiated on relevant skills and experience.

ANIMAL HEALTH LEADING HAND | You will be assisting with the everyday management of cattle health including cattle movements, treatment and care including administering animal health treatments and completing relevant records, reporting to the Animal Health Supervisor and leads a small team.

  • This person will be able to lead the team positively, take initiative and have a commitment to safety and quality outcomes.

  • The successful candidate will need to have industry experience with proven knowledge of cattle health.

  • Staff accommodation is available on site and this position works a 10/4 roster.

  • A minimum 2 horses is required for this position with suitable tack.

  • Above award remuneration for suitable applicants is available, negotiated on relevant skills and experience.

FEEDING LEADING HAND | This role is responsible for overseeing daily feeding operations including compliance with NFAS requirements.

  • Strong computer skills will be necessary for using feedlot software such as FY3000 and Feed Bunk. Communication and attention to detail is critical to this role.

  • This role is responsible for bunk calling and management.

  • The successful candidate will need to have experience in a similar role within the industry.

  • This person will be able to lead the small feeding team positively, take initiative and have a commitment to safety and quality outcomes.
