Bunderra Cattle Company is an Australian family owned and operated cattle business. The Pickersgill family have been involved in the agricultural and cattle industry for 3 generations and currently operate Cattle Stations located in Queensland and The Northern Territory.

Murranji Station, 5 hours south of Katherine, covers 447,500 hectares of Mitchell and Flinders grass plains, lancewood and bulwaddy country.

JOB TYPE: Full time/ Seasonal

We currently have the following positions:

​

BORE RUNNER: We are looking for an energetic Bore Runner to become part of our team for the 2022 season. Couples are welcomed to apply as there is work for partner.

​

  • Sound Knowledge of small engines (Kubota and Yanmar) as well as solar bores

  • Monitoring and maintaining water supplies and associated infrastructure for livestock

  • Re-fuelling / starting pumps

  • Checking on stock

  • Must have respect for station vehicles and machinery

  • Mechanical Knowledge would be beneficial

  • Accommodation and Meals are included (Couples welcomed to apply)

  • Wages are very competitive and will vary on experience

  • Opportunity for work for partner if required - Cook, gardening or depending on level of skill, station hand if experienced.

DIESEL FITTER/ MECHANIC We are looking for a qualified Diesel Fitter/ Mechanic to join the team for the 2022 season:

​​

  • Predominately CAT Toyota vehicles, Western Star trucks

  • Mechanical skills set, small motors to caterpillar equipment

  • Experience in the use of caterpillar Sys computer diagnostics

  • Basic computer skill to find pans and research breakdowns

  • Communicate effectively to order parts

  • Knowledge of trailer repairs, bearings and axels

  • Tyres and tube repairs using tyre fitter

  • Drive heavy equipment and preferably HR licence as a minimum

  • Can improvise

  • 50/50 field work  to workshop times

  • Weld, Brass, oxy cut & heat

  • Log book servicing of vehicle

  • Record keeping

  • We provide service vehicle

  • Clean and Tidy

  • S-6 days a week

  • Strong work ethic and can work alone or in a group
